“I send my warmest Easter greetings to all Ghanaians as we join Christians around the globe in celebrating this sacred season,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang wrote.
She urged Ghanaians to use the occasion to renew their commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable society.
“Let this moment inspire us to reaffirm our collective resolve to build a more compassionate and equitable Ghana—one that listens, uplifts, and makes room for every voice,” she said. “I wish everyone a peaceful and meaningful Easter.”
Her message comes as Christians in Ghana and around the world commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ—a time traditionally associated with reflection, sacrifice, and renewal of faith.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of national unity and empathy, especially in times of challenge, and called on citizens to stand together in the spirit of the season.
