President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated the fourth group of ministers of state following Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
Following a comprehensive vetting process and extensive debates by the Appointments Committee, Parliament has approved them.
The swearing-in ceremony at the Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, 2025, signified the commencement of their duties in pivotal government roles.
The president administered three oaths to the designated ministers: the oath of allegiance, the oath of office, and the oath of secrecy.
The newly sworn-in ministers are Samuel Nartey George, taking the role of Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations; Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as Minister of Foreign Affairs; Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation; Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Health; Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo, Minister of Labour, Jobs, and Employment; Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology; Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister of Transport; Felix Kwakye Ofosu as Minister of Government Communications; and Issifu Seidu, Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability.
The other officials include Charity Gardiner, Minister for Ahafo; Salisu Be-Awuribe, Minister for Savannah; Wilbert Petty Brentum, Minister for Western North; Joseph Nelson, Minister for Western; Joseph Addae Akwaboa, Minister for Bono; Francis Owusu Antwi, Minister for Bono East; Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, Minister for Central; and Puozuing Charles Lwanga, Minister for Upper West.
President Mahama presented the instruments of office to the newly sworn-in ministers and signed the oath book.
