French football sensation Kylian Mbappé has expressed his excitement about joining Real Madrid in the European Championship, calling it “a dream come true.”
During his official introduction on Tuesday, July 16, photos surfaced of Mbappé with Zinédine Zidane at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground.
Mbappé initially chose a different path, starting with AS Monaco and later moving to Paris Saint-Germain. Now, his journey has brought him to Madrid.
“It’s incredible to be here,” Mbappé said in Spanish. “I’ve dreamed for many years about playing for Real Madrid, and today that dream has come true.”
“Since I was a kid, I had one dream: to play here. Being here means a lot to me. Now, I want to achieve another dream: to reach the level of this club, the best in the world. I can promise one thing: I’ll give everything for this club and this badge.”
Mbappé left PSG as a free agent this summer, two years after declining an offer from Real Madrid to stay in Paris. Instead of renewing his contract with PSG, he opted to join Real Madrid and will wear the iconic No. 9 jersey.
His presentation was delayed due to the European Championship this summer. However, he was eventually welcomed by 80,000 enthusiastic Real Madrid fans at a packed Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
