MASLOC CEO Abibata Shanni Mahama Resigns

Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah has stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), effective immediately. Her resignation letter, dated January 31, 2025, was submitted to the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President and was officially acknowledged on February 4, 2025.

After eight years of service, first as Deputy CEO and then as the substantive CEO under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Hajia Abibata reflected on her tenure as a privilege. She expressed, “It has been an honor to serve and contribute to MASLOC’s growth and success. However, it is time to step aside and let new leadership steer the organization forward.”

In her letter, she conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Board, Management, and Staff for their unwavering support during her tenure at MASLOC. She expressed strong confidence in the organization’s future achievements and committed to facilitating a seamless transfer of responsibilities.
