GTA Welcomes Maame Efua Houadjeto as New CEO

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) proudly announces the appointment of Maame Efua Houadjeto as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. She takes over from former CEO Akwasi Agyeman, who stepped down after eight years of exceptional leadership.

Before joining GTA, Maame Efua Houadjeto was the CEO of Image Consortium Group and held positions as Managing Director and Creative Director at IE Design. In 2002, she also served as the General Manager of MPlaza Hotel, contributing extensive expertise in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Maame Efua will prioritize expanding and enhancing industry partnerships while championing sustainable tourism initiatives in her new role. She is dedicated to cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity within the organization.
