Dr. Franklin Asiedu-Bekoe, Director of Public Health at Ghana Health Service (GHS), has set the record straight about Mpox disease in Ghana. He confirmed that there have been no reported cases of Mpox in the country, despite recent claims suggesting otherwise.
Dr. Asiedu-Bekoe dismissed these reports as a misrepresentation of data. His comments follow a recent update from the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Surveillance and Disease Control (ECOWAS-RCSDC). In an interview with Graphic Online on Monday, he reassured the public that Ghana remains free of Mpox.
