The Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom is gearing up for an exciting cultural celebration with the Ghana@68 Independence Arts & Crafts Exhibition, set to take place from March 6 to 9, 2025. This event celebrates Ghana’s vibrant artistic heritage, showcasing diverse traditional crafts and performances.
The exhibition will begin at the Lighthouse Theatre on March 6 and 7, running from 6 PM to 10 PM each night and charging an entry fee of £20. Visitors can enjoy various displays, including leatherworks, paintings, Kente weaving, and cultural performances, offering an extensive presentation of Ghanaian artistry.
This event series showcases Ghana’s creative industries and promotes cultural exchange within the diaspora.
On March 8, the celebrations will continue with the Ghana Independence Concert at Indigo at The O2. This event promises a thrilling evening of music and dance, showcasing performances by acclaimed artists, including R2Bees, King Paluta, and Olive The Boy. Tickets are available for £60.
The celebration wraps up on March 9 at the Broadwater Farm Community Centre. It will feature another arts and crafts showcase from 6 PM to 10 PM, with an entry fee of £20.
