Flow Delly Urges Swift Support for Ghana’s Music Industry

Flow Delly, the former manager of Award-winning rapper Medikal, has urged for more significant investment and organized support to propel the growth of Ghana’s music industry.

In a media interview, Mr. Delly passionately addressed the music industry’s pressing issues. He urged industry and government stakeholders to promptly provide financial support, establish improved royalty systems, and enhance global recognition for Ghanaian artists.

The Artist Manager highlights that numerous talented musicians face challenges due to insufficient support. “There are countless gifted artists who need assistance. It’s disheartening to witness artists with immense potential facing difficulties,” he expressed.

Mr. Delly highlighted that the primary hurdle for the music industry is the lack of investors ready to provide the necessary funding and resources for growth.

“Our music industry needs investors—people who will put in money and resources so that the industry can grow,” he stated.

Reflecting on his experience managing Medikal, Mr. Delly recognized that the journey has provided him with an intimate understanding of artists’ challenges.

“Working with Medikal gave me direct exposure to some of the industry’s major challenges,” he reiterated.

The Artist Manager emphasized the importance of diverse support mechanisms beyond mere financial aid. “We require frameworks that guarantee fair compensation for artists’ creative efforts, ranging from financial investments to structural enhancements and an efficient logging and royalty system,” he remarked.

Mr. Delly called upon the government and private organizations to prioritize the entertainment sector, emphasizing its potential to boost tourism and stimulate economic growth.

“Entertainment promotes tourism, and the government and private organizations should pay attention to our industry,” he stressed.

Discussing international recognition, he expressed his disappointment with the lack of support for Ghanaian artists abroad. “Our artists receive far less support than they deserve—barely a fraction,” he stated.

Despite the current setbacks, Mr. Delly remains optimistic about the future of Ghana’s music industry. “When these issues are properly addressed, the industry will flourish for the benefit of all stakeholders,” he retorted.

His compelling message urges industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to unite to support Ghana’s music sector, aiming to unleash its full potential locally and globally.
