The Ghanaian football community is in shock following the tragic murder of Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley. In response, Bechem United has stepped up, offering a GHC 100,000 reward to anyone with credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The alleged perpetrator, identified as Braimah, was named by Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Lawyer Sarfo Duku. Currently, Braimah remains on the run, with the Ghana Police Service actively pursuing him.

In a statement released on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Bechem United reaffirmed its commitment to stamping out violence in football.
“Bechem United FC takes a bold stand against hooliganism, offering GHC 100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the murderer of late Asante Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong (Nana Pooley).”
