Azamati set to team up with Kerley as new training partner

Benjamin Azamati, who made history as the first Ghanaian since 2004 to reach the men’s 100m semifinal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, is now aiming to build on his impressive performance.

The national 100m record holder, with a time of 9.90 seconds set in 2022, has announced his next big move: teaming up with top athletics coach John Bolton. Azamati will be relocating to California to train under Bolton, who has coached Olympic 100m bronze medalist Fred Kerley.
