President John Dramani Mahama is set to inaugurate the eagerly awaited Stakeholder Education Review Conference in mid-February 2025, announced Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education.

The Education Minister announced this on Friday at a press briefing in Accra to mark International Day of Education, which falls on January 24

He stated that the conference would explore the current and future landscape of education, offering recommendations to enhance the sector, ensure equity, and develop competitive, high-quality human resources for the nation.

The global day is on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation.”

He emphasized that the theme underscored AI’s role in transforming education, providing unique opportunities to tailor learning experiences, automate processes, and increase access for the most underserved communities.

Mr. Iddrisu emphasized the need for robust partnerships to close the gaps in AI, aiming to provide high-quality education to remote regions and promote inclusivity through adaptive technologies that address diverse learning requirements.

He said educators must be empowered to create inclusive classrooms and to design curricula that embed digital literacy, AI ethics, and critical thinking skills to thrive in an automated world.
