In a tragic incident at Antwiriifo near Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region, a 35-year-old man tragically ended the life of his six-year-old son.
A Customs Officer subsequently shot the man as he tried to escape from the scene.
As per a police report, on January 15, 2025, authorities received a notification about the man, whose identity has not been revealed, having brutally attacked and killed the boy with numerous cutlass wounds.
The police have not revealed the motive behind the man’s actions at this time.
Upon receiving the information, the District Police Command arrived at the scene where they discovered the bodies of the victim and the suspect.
Police will dispatch investigators to the scene for further probe, the statement said.
