President John Mahama has ordered the Lands Commission to halt all activities concerning the sale, lease, or processing of transactions involving State and Public Lands immediately.
A statement from the President’s Secretary on Friday, January 10, announced a directive to safeguard these lands for the benefit of present and future generations.
The statement emphasized that all ongoing and pending transactions must be immediately suspended to facilitate a thorough review of the framework for managing State and Public Lands.
The President instructed the Lands Commission to provide a comprehensive report on all recent and ongoing land transactions to the Office of the President within 14 days.
